About Cosgrove & Company Founded in 1986, Cosgrove & Company started as a financial services consultancy specializing in raising capital for early stage or rapidly growing companies. From capital funding the consultancy grew into providing other services such as valuations, advising on the sale of companies, and strategic corporate planning. Today, our business is broken down to approximately 60% capital raising and 40% corporate finance advisement. In capital raising our equity clients are generally looking for $1.0 mil to $10.0 mil to be used for growth capital or acquisitions. Our sources for these funds are your traditional venture capital and capital funds including insurance companies. Our clients looking to restructure their debt or establish lines of credit are in the $750K to $30 mil range and our funding sources are the larger international banks or aggressive regional banks. Our strategic planning services include: company sales; mergers & acquisition; establishing strategic partnerships; establishing technology partnerships; the valuation of shares as part of a strategic plan; advisement to corporate boards and corporate restructuring. We have also serviced international clients in Canada and Singapore. Mark Cosgrove is the Principal of Cosgrove & Company. Previous to founding the firm, Mark was a corporate banker with experience in Fortune 100 lending as well as running a commercial portfolio. He had additional experice with leverage buy-outs, venture capital financing and international lending. From banking, Mark became the CFO of high technology company which he later sold and shortly after that experience he started Cosgrove & Company. Mark's educational backgrond includes an M.B.A. from the Crummer School of Business, Rollins College, and a B.A. from the State University of New York at Geneseo. |
